Yesterday I started the Helena (artwork) article, and today you found a picture from 2007 of this artwork. So cool! Bluerasberry (talk) 17:38, 11 May 2022 (UTC) |
OUTING
[edit]Hi Nesnad, I can understand the reasoning, but for everyone's sake I suggest editing the aspersions out of your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lisa Nakazono. An uncharitable reader could interpret them as WP:OUTING and it just makes what us already a headache of a discussion more headachey. BrigadierG (talk) 00:05, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- A little confused. I didn't write any personal details? Her friend group did. I didn't write anything personal about her, I don't know her--- I wouldn't be able to do an OUTING of facts about her even if I wanted to. There are personal details posted on her by her friends (not asked for, they just did it) although I don't think it's anything super private. Nesnad (talk) 00:47, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- At one point, you address a user using what you guess to be their first name. Even if it's just a summation of the available on-wiki evidence, I'd advise against it. BrigadierG (talk) 02:56, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Lisa is the name of the subject of the article? That's not OUTING if the user was Lisa, she is claiming to be a public figure? I just thought it was her because they were being so emotional about it. I appreciate your feedback but I think you might be misunderstanding. I of course would not want to reveal any private information about anyone. I think the other users are OUTING a lot more private information about the subject of the article... They were saying she is married to someone implied to be Chinese or something because they said she lives in a country that can't access facebook etc, and mentioned kids which isn't public information, none of that was claimed by me (although nothing scandalous was said, of course)--- I'm just paraphrasing them here for your reference, so you can see what I mean... I was just using the name that was in the article? Thanks anyway, I appreciate you trying to keep private information private, Nesnad (talk) 03:31, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
