[edit]I merged what information from Sound logo that I could, and made it a redirect to here. How do you get rid of that merge notice at the top of this article? DaveTheRed 19:44, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
- Never mind, it's gone. Wikipedia must have been experiencing a lag. DaveTheRed 19:46, 13 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Reference to sound marks as memes (branding)
[edit]The sentence inserted in the introductory paragraph "These sound trademarks are memes constructed to lodge in one's memory to easily remember the brand" was deleted, as 'trademarks' are very distinct from 'brands'. Any references to (philosophy of) branding and marketing concepts would be more appropriately dealt with in the branding article. — 15 Mar 2005.
- The only reason that sentence was there is because it was merged from Sound logo. I agree that the sentence was awkward, but it would be nice to have something about how sound trademarks are often memes designed to get stuck in your brain. DaveTheRed 18:49, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)
